Custom Machining

SVI can provide both in-shop and on-site custom machining services. Through our extensive drawing library or by reverse engineering practices, SVI has the capabilities to fabricate parts like valve stems, pressure seal gaskets, valve trim parts as well as many others. Utilizing our staff certified welders and qualified weld procedures, we also have the ability to apply hard face overlays and build custom welded/machined fabrications.

At our headquarters in Pineville, N.C., we have a fully equipped machine shop with horizontal and vertical lathes and mills. Through the use of our stationary equipment and utilizing our portable equipment in-house, no job is too small or too large to handle.

Our field capabilities consist of (7) mobile machine shops containing lathe turning and milling operations. In addition to our mobile shops, SVI either owns or has access to a full line of portable "in-line" machines capable of anything from simple flange face resurfacing operations to large line boring projects. SVI also has in stock and ready to use custom engineered equipment specifically designed to perform valve repair operations such as integral valve seat replacements, resurfacing gasket landings, line boring pressure seal bores and even rethreading valve bodies in place.
